The Black Arts Festival of Oklahoma was established to help create an awareness of the
different genres of art, serve as a vehicle to for spreading knowledge of artistic diversity,
emphasize the importance of economic develpment in and around the Oklahoma City community, to
provide special focus on black arts and to provide a platform for artists in the state of
Oklahoma to display their work.
